The Giving + Learning Map

The land of “Don’t ya knows” is more diverse than ever before. In the Fargo-Moorhead area, Giving + Learning has served over 800 individuals from over 40 international regions/countries. The interactive map below shows us just how diverse we have become, and reminds us of our mission to serve and welcome these incoming cultures into our own!

We also strongly encourage the use of maps while serving as a mentor. You can really create a great ongoing conversation with your mentee by bringing a map to your first few sessions. You can have them show you where they lived and the places that they’ve experienced.

We would also like to use this map as an archive of the stories from our refugee community in the area. You and your mentee can tell their story, and embed it in this Google Map. We would love for this map to become more than just a push pin of countries, but instead a rich tapestry of stories from around the world!
